	Childers’ work has been the subject of many important exhibitions including his one man retrospective Icons and Legends at the Palm Springs Art Museum which featured striking photographs of cinematic greats and masters of culture such as Natalie Wood and Andy Warhol; and his equally stellar Rockin’ Hollywood, forty years of rock and roll and music legends, which took place aboard the Queen Mary. In the recent decade, Childers’ work has also evolved beyond the portrait into the world of abstraction, conceptualism and metamorphosis of the still life. Childers is currently immersed in the completion of what will surely be a racy and controversial autobiography titled And I Have the Pictures to Prove It. In January 2012, Childers’ iconic image The Hockney Swimmer was part of the Palm Springs Art Museum’s Pacific Standard Time exhibition Backyard Oasis. His work can currently be found at Michael H. Lord Gallery in Palm Springs. In March 2012, he was the subject of a one man retrospective at the San Luis Obispo Museum.
